The director is on the film set almost all the time. They control many aspects of the film. Including the dramatic and artistic aspects of the film. The main role is to bring the script/screenplay to life so that the audiences can visualise it. They tell the actors how to act a scene and what emotions they need to bring into account. The director also chooses the cast members, the set and location for each scene and its their responsibility for the film.
Example: Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorcese, Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino.
Producer
The Producer oversees the production of a film. they choose the director, the script/screenplay, the editing and arranges the finance. During the 'Stage of discovery', the producer find material that has potential - they hire a scriptwriter/screenwriter to write the script and they then oversee the writing. they also oversee the elements of production - Pre, Production and Post. The producer also works of the business side of the film when they're not on set.

Camera Opps and Sound Opps
The camera operators are the ones who actively film the TV/Film and are used on set all the time. the sound operators also consist of the microphone operators, they are used on set all the time and usually hold a microphone near enough to the shoot so we can hear the actor's voices but we don't see a microphone. Camera operators are responsible for some meanings in the film. For example, low and high angles are used to show power or weakness.

Set designer/Set decoration
The Set designer chooses the locations to film in whether its an everyday location or in the studio. they plan out a design for how the director and producer want it to look and feel. they will then create a plan on a computer and then put it to a set. A good Set Designer will include so much detail in the set that it is covered in related detail.

Director of Photography (DoP)
They command the camera and Lighting crew on a film set, they are responsible for creating artistic and technical decisions that enhance the film - this role is also known as 'Cinematography'. the cinematographer selects the lens and camera and filter to use for each shot. Sometimes the director will recommend the cinematographer a shot to do so sometimes they will work together but other times the cinematographer will work independently.
